About Me - Marcie McCann (she/her)
Welcome to Seeking Solace, I'm so glad you have made your way here. I have worked in the field of mental health for 10 years, and during this time I have had the privilege of walking alongside many people who have found solace from the difficulties and challenges of life and in turn increased their personal strength, resiliency, and ability to live a life that aligns with their values.

I recognize and acknowledge that reaching out and taking the first step on a journey of healing can be scary - that is just one of the feelings I had when I started my own journey to healing many years ago. As a therapist I strive to create a space that it yours, where you are truly heard and seen.

Seeking Solace is an inclusive space, recognizing the basic human right of dignity, respect, autonomy, and equal access to resources for all human beings.
I acknowledge my privilege as a settler; living on, working on, and enjoying the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat Peoples.
I strive to acknowledge, listen, and take action against the impacts of colonization, and the ongoing systemic racism and oppression that exists.
